Riding is a piece of CAKE!

When surfing the internet during my plaguing boredom, I came across an interesting website. Most kids, particularly young girls, enter the well known "pony phase" during their younger years. They begin begging their moms for a horsey and after being denied the one thing that they "can't live without," they resort to a horse themed birthday party. Most would expect pin the tail on the horsey, cowboy hats, plates and napkins embossed with cartoon horses. As a young child, I can honestly say, the horse themed birthday never happened, but if I had known there were cakes like this, it would have gone down!

This first cake is absolutely amazing! The fact that artistry can be captured through yellow cake mix, and buttercream is incredible. Though the price of this cake will likely cause fainting or possibly a stroke, I am determined to have something similar for my next birthday.
Though some cakes were stunning like the one above, not all were impressive.
The cake below is disappointing to say the least. Had it not been featured on a page displaying horse cakes I would not have guessed it was a horse. It appears to represent a mutilated anteater. Perhaps Patty was a believer in the true power of anteaters.

I have to say, this next cake is absolutely adorable and represents the "precious moments" of the horse world. Though the approach followed more of a cartoon impression, it contributes to the appeal of the cake. The detail is incredible and maintains eye interest.

What do you think of these cakes? Do you like any of the others featured on the webpage?
Comment below and give me your thoughts!

Until tomorrow,
Hannah
